Founded in the midst of historic uprisings, an historic election and a historic pandemic that pushed an unprecedented number of leaders to rely on digital as a means to market and organize, Backbone was created to help the next generation win where it matters most.
OUR VALUES
We believe true power is grassroots — from small-dollar donations to boots-on-the-ground community, relational and field organizing.
We believe ALL Black lives matter — including those of our LGBTQ+ community, the disabled, the formerly incarcerated, the sick and the poor.
We believe global warming is an existential threat, healthcare is a human right and that no human being is illegal — especially on stolen land.

With more than ten years in digital marketing and organizing, Jess has a proven record in digital content development and distribution. Jess’ extensive experience stems from her work with multiple presidential and down-ballot campaigns, as well as noted non-profits, tech companies, publishers, universities, startups and government entities.
